The purpose of the Regional Filming Fund is to drive sustained economic and industry growth across Regional NSW by incentivising screen production outside metropolitan areas. It supports projects that create local jobs, build skills and capacity, and strengthen regional businesses and supply chains, while increasing the use and visibility of regional locations. The fund is designed to ensure that the benefits of the state’s expanding screen production activity are shared more broadly, delivering clear, measurable outcomes for regional communities and value for NSW Government investment.

Regional Filming Fund applications will only be considered when submitted within a Production Fund or Made in NSW – Local Fund application. Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements of the relevant program; failure to do so will render the Regional Filming Fund application ineligible.
