25/26 Createability Host Organisation

• Must be an arts, cultural, screen, sound, creative industry organisation and/or a Local Government Authority located in NSW, and
• have a clearly defined focus on arts or cultural activities that directly benefits NSW artists, arts and cultural workers and/or NSW communities through arts, screen, sound and cultural led activities.
• Have a valid ABN (Australian Business Number) with the same entity name as the applicant.
• A bank account with the same name as your ABN entity name.

Arts, cultural, screen, sound and creative industry organisations with a genuine interest in providing increased skills development for and growth in participation of people with disability or who are d/Deaf.

The program offers internships of 4 weeks or 8 weeks for:

• 3 x First Nations arts organisations (2 providing 4-week internships and 1 providing an 8-week internship)
• 3 x Western Sydney arts organisations (2 providing 4-week internships and 1 providing an 8-week internship)
• 3 x Screen organisations (2 providing 4-week internships and 1 providing an 8-week internship)
• 3 x Sound organisations (2 providing 4-week internships and 1 providing an 8-week internship)
• 2 x Regional arts organisations (2 providing 4-week internships)
• 1 x Creative Industries organisation (providing a 4-week internship)
• 1 x Sydney Metro arts organisation (providing a 4-week internship).

Host organisations will receive training to increase their awareness of inclusive and accessible practices from Accessible Arts NSW.

Limited access support funding will be available on request for travel and human resources support.

Hosts will need to provide appropriate workplace support, management and any required equipment. Specialised/adapted equipment may be eligible to be funded through the Job Access program.

Host organisations will be involved in the intern selection process (including participating in interviews), to ensure an appropriate intern is selected to work with them.

Funding is to cover a total period of 4 weeks/20 days (160 hours) $6,080 or 8 weeks/40days (320 hours) $12,160. Part-time and flexible working opportunities are encouraged including combinations of working from home and on site. 

Payment is inclusive of income tax, superannuation, workcover, insurances.

  • are schools and educational institutions (including preschools, primary and secondary schools).

Theatre company - Internship assisting in the construction of puppets, props and other scenic elements.

TV Broadcaster – Internship providing access to the inner workings of a TV network and supporting a unique team across content.

Community Radio Project – Internship providing to support to the Australian Music Airplay Project (Amrap) including production, event planning, marketing, and community engagement.

Youth arts and culture - Internship working across producing and ensuring the processes of making art is accessible and fun for the young artists involved.

Community Arts and Cultural Development company – Internship working behind the scenes including with community consultation and project support team.

Visual arts company - Internship providing curatorial, administrative and installation support.
