Screen NSW is holding a monthly webinar series to help demystify market partners and support mid-level creatives and producers to feel more confident to create and pitch projects.
Joining us on Friday 30 January 2026 at 1pm, is Susie Jones, Head of Documentary and Specialist at ABC. We’ll be discussing ABC’s slate across documentary and specialist content, what kind of content they are looking for and how to pitch your project to them. With the Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC) in March, we’ll also seek insight from Susie about the upcoming conference through the ABC lens.

Susie Jones
Susie Jones is the Head of Documentary and Specialist at ABC, responsible for all internal and external Factual commissions, including documentaries, and series. Since joining the ABC in 2023 she has led the development, production and commissions of many high-quality, thought-provoking factual programmes including The Kimberley, The Assembly and Eat the Invaders. She has also commissioned a number of feature documentaries that will broadcast on the ABC in 2026. Prior to joining the ABC, she has worked for Netflix; SBS, Matchbox Pictures and BBC Comedy.
