Screen NSW Power Lunch with Amanda Duthie and Katherine Slattery Netflix ANZ

Screen NSW is holding a monthly webinar series to help demystify market partners and support mid-level practitioners to feel more confident to create and pitch projects.  

Join us on Friday 17 April 2026 at 1.00pm as we speak with Amanda Duthie, Content Director for Netflix ANZ and Katherine Slattery, Content Manager, Originals for Netflix ANZWe’ll be discussing Netflix’s approach to their local slate across scripted and unscripted, gain insight into what kind of projects the team is looking for and how best to pitch your project to them.

Amanda Duthie 

Amanda Duthie is Content Director for Netflix ANZ, responsible for the market’s commissioning and overall programming strategy. She brings a rare breadth of experience across Australia’s screen ecosystem to Netflix, including previous roles as Head of Originals at Stan, as Creative Director / CEO of the Adelaide Film Festival, Head of Arts & Entertainment at ABC TV, as well as roles at SBS TV and the South Australian Film Corporation.   

Katherine Slattery 

Katherine Slattery is the Content Manager, Originals, at Netflix ANZ. She was previously the Scripted Development Manager at Matchbox Pictures, having worked on multiple titles including Bad Behaviour (Stan), Critical Incident (Stan), House of Gods (ABC) and most recently, as Development Producer on Dog Park (ABC). She has held multiple roles at screen agencies including as Fiction Development Manager at Film Victoria (VicScreen) and Development Executive at Screen NSW, Screen QLD and Screen Australia. During her time as Head of Development at Arenamedia, the company developed projects including The Turning and Paper Planes, and produced the feature film Balibo. At Jan Chapman’s Waking Dream Productions she developed projects including The Babadook, The Daughter and Babyteeth (Official selection, Venice Film Festival, winner 9 ACCTA Awards). She produced the short film Family (The Turning – MIFF) and the two-part doco-drama television series Stories I Want To Tell You in Person for Matchbox Pictures (MIFF, ABC). She is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts (BA, Dramatic Arts) and QUT (Post Graduate Business/Marketing).
