In 2025, Screen NSW launched Gathering Ground, a targeted industry development initiative, to support NSW First Nations creatives working in screen and digital games.
This initiative connects emerging practitioners with established First Nations industry leaders, providing opportunities for knowledge sharing, networking, and industry insights to help strengthen your creative journey.
The next session will feature Kelrick Martin, Head of Indigenous at ABC TV and Kirra Homer, Development Manager at ABC Indigenous.
Kelrick brings more than two decades of experience advancing First Nations stories across commissioning, production and screen agency leadership, with key roles at NITV, Screenwest and ABC Indigenous, and credits including Prison Songs, Black Comedy, The Dark Emu Story and Total Control.
Kirra's work spans production, development and original content creation at ABC Indigenous, overseeing projects including Mystery Road: Origins, Goolagong and End Game with Tony Armstrong while championing new First Nations stories and talent.
